We are Matt and Julia, we are a married couple, together for over 10 years.
Matt was born and raised just outside of London, England. Julia was born and raised in Siberia, Russia.
We met one another on separate holidays 10 years ago in Turkey at the ages of 18 and 20. We later got married and started a life together in the UK.
We always had a passion for travel, discovering new places, cultures and meeting different people from around the world.
In the 7 years we lived together in the UK, we made it our priority to live as tight as possible and always be conscious about what we spent our money on. This gave us the opportunity to pursue our passion and travel more.
We always wanted to somehow travel full-time, and discover if it was genuinely something for us and if we could actually make it work.
In late 2019, we decided we needed to give it a go, so we spent over a year working as much as we could, saving up as much money as possible, sold our possessions and left.

Why did we create this company?
We have been travelling together for over 10 years (out of which, 4 are full time), we’ve had a lot of experiences, both good and bad, and along the way learnt more about the differences between an incredible trip and a poor one.
We know what we like to get out of our travels, and we want to share those feeling with others!
We always wanted to start our own travel company, and have been discussing the idea of it for a few years now. But kept waiting for “the right time” to do it.
Fast-forward to early-2023, and a group trip to Japan was the ‘straw-that-broke-the-camels-back’ for us.
It made us realise that there will never be the perfect moment to start, but if you have passion for something and feel you have a unique perspective to bring, you should make it happen.
So, we took ‘the bull by the horns’ and here we are.
Humankind’s goals
The goal is to share some of the least travelled parts of the world with you. The places that are often labelled as misunderstood. These are the places we have passion for sharing and where the most unique, genuine travel experiences are to be found.
The destinations we want to bring you along with us to, are some of the most unique and beautiful on Earth, with amazing food, incredible landscapes and most of all, some of the most-hospitable people on the Planet.
We want to discover the world together with you, because for us, sharing experiences, and making life-long memories, is what travel is all about!
Why travel with us?
After four years travelling full time to some of the World’s most unique and less visited regions; from the coldest city on Earth in Russia (in January), to the scorching hot desert of western Kazakhstan (in July), Afghanistan and Syria, we have accumulated a vast amount of knowledge of how to (& how not to) travel some of the least visited corners of our planet.
We have also made some incredible local friends along the way, as well as, meeting travellers from around the world who have shared their stories from the road, both positive & negative.
After taking a large number of group tours over the years, we feel we now have a ‘near perfect’ formula for what a great expedition should look like!
