WHAT MAKES THIS TRIP SPECIAL?
This trip, together with us, is packed with local experiences and once in a lifetime cultural experiences.
From Samarkand to Bukhara, we will visit some of the oldest cities on Earth, feel the warmth of Uzbek hospitality and learn about real life throughout this ancient country.
Uzbekistan, stole our hearts from the moment we crossed the border. We have never felt hospitality like it, and never tasted food as good (seriously!). We can’t wait to watch you fall in love with this country as we share this experience together!

We will start, and end the tour in Tashkent, the bustling capital of Uzbekistan.
Our journey will take us through the Silk Road cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, as well as, a unique Yurt experience out in the Kyzylkum Desert.

This trip will start on 15th October 2025 & finish on the 23rd October 2025.

The entire trip will be 9 days.

We want this experience to be special & personal, therefore;
The group will be limited to 10 people.
You will be joining us (Matt and Julia), a professional local English-speaking guide, and 9 other travellers :)

The accommodation will consist mainly of 3* hotels, as well as, one night in a ‘Yurt’ in the Kyzylkum desert

The price of the trip is $2450 USD.
This is paid in two instalments.
Firstly, to secure your spot, we require a $950 USD deposit.
Then, the remaining balance is required to be paid 60 days before the start of the trip.
We accept payment in all major currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP and AUD
This price is based on twin/double rooms. If you want to have your own room, by yourself, that’s no problem at all! You will need to pay a Single Room Supplement of $250 USD.

Full Itinerary

Arrival day
Welcome to Tashkent, Uzbekistan! 🇺🇿
A transfer will collect you from the airport, and bring you to our 3* hotel for the night, where we will all meet one another, and get ready to start our adventure together!
Overnight in Tashkent

Exploring Tashkent & Onwards to Samarkand
We will start the day with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a city tour around the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent!
We will visit the Hasti Imam Square, Mui Muborak Library, Barakhan Madrasa, Chorsu Bazaar, Applied Arts Museum, Independence Square, and ride the world-famous The Tashkent Metro!
We will catch an evening train to Samarkand, and arrive around 8pm, just in time to take in the evening city views, and indulge in some traditional food, before getting some rest at our hotel near the famous Registan Square.

Samarkand City Tour
After breakfast, we will start a tour through ancient Samarkand.
Along the way, we will visit Gur Emir Mausoleum, Registan Square, The Siab Bazar and Bibi Hanum Mosque.
We will then head across town to the Ulugbek Observatory, and Koni Gil Silk paper workshop.
Later that evening, we will enjoy the Registan Sound & Light show (if available), before heading back to the hotel for some well-earned rest.

Samarkand to Bukhara
We will start the day with breakfast at the hotel in Samarkand, before catching the 'Afrosiab fast train' to Bukhara.
Once checked in at the hotel in Bukhara, we will head out to explore this ancient city on foot, heading to some of the most beautiful sites!
Later that evening, after an immersive city tour, we will head to one of Bukhara's most beautiful madrasahs to watch a Folk show, and have a traditional dinner.
After, it's back to our centrally located hotel for some rest!

Beautiful Bukhara
Bukhara is the pearl of Asia and was the centre of Education and Islamic culture in the medieval ages.
We will spend the day on a traversing some of the cities most incredible sites, from Mosques, to Madrassas and Mausoleums. These include, the Ismail Samani Mausoleum, Chashmai Ayub, Bolo Hauz Mosque and the imposing Ark Fortress.
We will then proceed to the Summer Palace, followed by some free time in the afternoon. (An optional Turkish hammam is available for an extra $25pp).
Later, we will join a local family, to participate in cooking (& eating!) some speciality Bukhara cuisine!

Bukhara to Ayazkala
After breakfast, we will head out of Bukhara, and drive west, through the desert, and towards the incredible Ayazkala Fortress, dating back to the 4th century BCE!
Tonight, we will be living like Nomads, staying in a yurt camp in the Kyzylkum Desert!
We will fully immerse ourselves in the Nomad lifestyle, sleeping in yurts, just like people would have in the days of the Silk Road.
In the evening, we will have a traditional dinner together, before enjoying a folk show, and sleeping under the stars!

Ayazkala to Khiva
After our night in the yurts, we will start the day with breakfast, before heading to Khiva.
Once we arrive, and check in, we will head out on a walking tour of the Old City - Ichan Qala, where we will explore some of Khiva's most jaw dropping sites.
We will finish the day with dinner in a family restaurant, overlooking the old city, whilst enjoying a music and dance show, performed by the Khorezm people.

Khiva to Tashkent
Today we have an early start!
After breakfast, we will be transferred to Urgench Airport, where we will catch the 9:20am flight to Tashkent.
After landing around 10:30, we will be picked up by our driver, a grab a well-earned lunch!
After lunch, we will be taken up in to the mountains of Chimgan where we will witness a totally different side to Uzbekistan!
We will take a cable car up the mountain, and soak in the breathtaking views of the Tian Shan mountains. as well as, nearby rivers and waterfalls.
After this we will head back to Tashkent, where we will stay overnight in the hotel, and toast to an amazing trip, and making friends for life!

All good things come to an end :(
After an incredible 9 days, we will say our goodbyes, and each take our transfers to the airport.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellation notices must be received in writing and will become effective as of the date of receipt by us.
Your deposit is non refundable, accept in a case of a ‘force majure’ or a cancellation from our side.
For the balance of your payment, we can provide you a refund (minus your deposit) up to 60 days before the trip begins should you have an emergency, an illness, or need to cancel.
Anything closer than 60 days, unfortunately, we cannot refund you.
We highly recommend you take out travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, therefore if something should occur like you get Covid, you will get a full payout from your insurance company.
We can provide a tour cancellation confirmation letter so you are able to claim any losses with your travel insurance provider.

Please note:
Customer is liable for any transaction charges associated with the refund process. In the event of us incurring non-refundable costs and expenses, including, but not limited to flight booking and hotel reservations this shall be deducted from any refund due to the customer.
